SHARJAH \u2014 Expect cleaner streets in Sharjah as Tandeef, the waste collection, street cleaning and city beautification division of Bee\u2019ah, has invested over Dh75 million in new equipment and a specialised fleet in street cleaning and waste collection, to elevate its services for operation in the city of Sharjah.

Salim bin Mohammed Al Owais, Chairman of Bee\u2019ah said: \u201cOur goal at Bee\u2019ah is to enhance the services of waste management and find ways to preserve the environment as a whole in the UAE, and the Emirate of Sharjah in particular. Tandeef plays a vital role in helping Bee\u2019ah become the leading environment management company in the region.\u201d<\/p>\n

Amongst those on display during the Green Middle East Exhibition held recently was the multi-purpose cleaning and sweeping device brought to make<\/strong><\/p>\n

cleaner easier for Tandeef\u2019s team.<\/p>\n

Tandeef has placed orders for collection trucks, wood chippers, beach cleaners, street washers and boats for lagoon cleaning. Furthermore, the company will be adding Dh20 million worth of blue and green bins to its residential recycling programme, in order to replace the remaining metal bins in Sharjah. Earlier this year, Tandeef rolled out the Middle East\u2019s first large-scale residential recycling programme with the introduction of 2,000 pairs of blue and green coloured 2.4 CBM bins \u2014 blue for recyclables and green for general waste, to replace the single-stream municipal bins.<\/p>\n

In addition to these, Tandeef brought automated bin collection and bin washing vehicles which are quieter and much more efficient than the conventional and existing vehicles, ensure higher efficiency and better collection operation throughout the streets of Sharjah.<\/p>\n

In April 2011, Tandeef signed an agreement with the Sharjah Municipality to be the sole provider of waste collection and beautification solutions to the entire Emirate of Sharjah for the next 15 years, and providing the community with clean roads and pavements as a free-of-cost service. Combining the experience of the Sharjah Municipality, Tandeef helps to control waste efficiently and \u2018close the loop\u2019 between consumption and disposal.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
