Mohamed Alhosani is the CEO of Consultancy, Research & Innovation at BEEAH. He is responsible for the delivery of environmental consulting services; environmental monitoring including water, soil and air monitoring; carbon footprint mapping; management of agencies; and research and development of new, innovative services. He was also appointed the CEO of BEEAH KSA in 2021, and is leading BEEAH’s expansion efforts in the Kingdom and oversees all of BEEAH’s operations in KSA to ensure service excellence.
Prior to assuming his present role, Mohamed was the Managing Director of Tandeef, BEEAH’s Waste Collection & Public Cleansing Division. In this role, he oversaw Tandeef’s operations including Collection, Public Cleansing, Commercial Operations, Fleet Management and Control, the Workshops, as well as their respective stores.
Mohamed joined BEEAH in June 2008 as Health, Safety and Environment Manager. In 2009, he was promoted to Senior Environment Manager, before joining the Operations Department as Senior Operations Manager in 2010. After gaining extensive experience in the Operations Department, Mohamed took on a wider role as Director of Sales and New Product Development. This position included management of commercial services and material sales, as well as the waste transfer processes and disposal of waste collected in Sharjah, and the East Coast and Central Region of the emirate. His main responsibilities as Director also included future facilities planning, overseeing the operations of Sharjah’s six landfills, and the implementation of sustainable waste management practices. Following his excellent performance, he was then appointed as the Director of Waste Transfer and Disposal Technology, and subsequently as the Managing Director of Tandeef.
With over 13 years in fire safety engineering before arriving at BEEAH, Mohamed began his career in the UAE Armed Forces, as a Fire Protection Engineer reviewing the fire safety systems and equipment. Mohamed then worked at the Sharjah Municipality where he headed the Fire Unit for the Sharjah Civil Defence.
Mohamed holds a BSc degree in Fire Protection Engineering, from the University of Maryland, USA, and an MSc in Mechatronics Engineering, from the American University of Sharjah. He is also a member of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA)
Yousif Mohammed Al-Zarooni is Director of Business Development at Consultancy, Research & Innovation (CRI), a new branch of Bee’ah, the Middle East’s leading sustainability pioneer that focusses on environmental consultancy and training. He is responsible for identifying growth opportunities and expansion to new markets, leading the development team to ensure the growth of sales, and focusing on partnership initiatives that nurture new opportunities.
Al-Zarooni assumed the post in August 2019, building on a successful career at Bee’ah. He joined the company in 2010 as a Senior Manager for Strategy and has since held the titles of Head of Contracts & Procurement, Director of Contracts, Procurement & IT, Director of Procurement, Legal & Administration, and Director of Special Projects.
This wide-ranging experience has prepared him for accelerating the growth of CRI, building on his previous work, which includes benchmarking CRI’s activities to industry best practices, liaising with senior management to plan the expansion of the company in different sectors, and establishing new companies based on market analysis and forecasts. He was also tasked with developing the right corporate governance standards for the company and to define the new company’s objectives and KPIs.
His list of successful projects includes the digital transformation of Sharjah Municipality; supporting the launch of EVOTEQ, the digital arm of Bee’ah group; the expansion of Bee’ah’s operations throughout the UAE; the waste to energy assessment with Masdar; and the implementation of Bee’ah’s digital transformation process.
These roles have all involved a strong emphasis on strategic thinking, planning, leadership, communication and continuous improvement.
Al Zarooni has worked in Engineer Services Planning, and subsequently as a Strategy Planning Officer, at Thuraya Satellite Telecommunication Company; and Senior Consultant of Strategic Planning and Research at the Business Excellence Center, Dubai World, Dubai.
He has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the American University of Sharjah and a Master’s in international business from the University of Wollongong in Dubai. He has also completed a Future Foresight programme at the Prime Minister’s Office, in partnership with SAID Business School.
Among his many training accreditations, he is an ICF Certified Coach, an ILM Certified Trainer and holds an Advanced Certificate of Procurement, as well as a Government Innovation Diploma, in addition to completing the Sharjah Tatweer Leadership Program.
Dr. Hashem Stietiya is the Director of Research & Development at Bee’ah. With a passion to reduce environmental pollution and promote a healthier environment, he has more than 22 years of experience.
In his career as an environmental consultant and a university professor, Dr. Stietiya has worked across a range of specialist areas in more than 12 countries in the Middle East and North Africa. His core area of expertise includes Waste Management Consultancy, Environmental Contamination, Air Emissions Monitoring, and Groundwater Vulnerability Assessment. He also has a rich and rewarding experience into Environmental Auditing, HSSE Regulations in the Middle East and North Africa, Environmental Impact Assessments, Environmental Monitoring Plans and others.
As a veteran expert and a researcher, Dr. Stietiya’s key scientific articles include investigation into environmental problems and attempts to find sustainable solutions. His experience in environmental management in the Middle East makes him an instrumental force for understanding the needs of clients at Bee’ah and accomplishing them through scientifically established methodologies.
Before starting his career at Bee’ah, Dr. Stietiya held a variety of leadership and senior technical roles with environmental consultancy companies across the region, during which time he established and supported a team of professionals to carry out a vast array of innovative assignments. His in-depth experience and resourceful know-how in environmental consultancy has led him to spearhead major projects in the past and present. Some of the affluent projects include Soil Survey Classification and Land Use Specification (2001 – 2005), Industrial Water Vulnerability Assessment for global beverage plants in the Middle East (2010-2013), HSSE Regulatory Program for Middle East (2010-2014), Relative Accuracy Test Audits for oil and gas companies (2014-2016), Marine Remediation of Drilling Slurry Spillage in Arabian Gulf seawater (2014), and others.
Hashem Stietiya holds a PhD Degree in Environmental Soil Chemistry from Louisiana State University. He has written and co-authored numerous books & articles on varied subjects related to varied environmental aspects including soil atlas, nano particles, sludge/metals, soil remediation and many more. In 2012, He was honoured with the ‘Distinguished Researchers Award’, by The University of Jordan for his discrete research. His outstanding work as a Visiting Scientist for School of Plant, Environmental and Soil Sciences at Louisiana State University - USA have also been honoured and awarded.
Hassan Al Ali is the Director for Environmental Consultancy at BEEAH Environment Services, an environmental management and services company under the BEEAH Group. As a core member of the company’s strategy team, he has provided insights and leadership for projects in air pollution monitoring and zero waste implementation in the emirate of Sharjah. With over 12 years of experience in environmental management, he has been part of several key undertakings including the development of a master plan for waste management in the eastern and central regions of Sharjah.
Qumasha Abdalla Al-Obeidli is the Special Projects Manager within the Consultancy, Research and Innovation (CRI) department at BEEAH Group. Guided by her commitment to sustainable development and inspired determination to make a real difference to the environment, Qumasha joined the organisation seven years ago and has provided invaluable inputs and contributions ever since. A proven specialist in analytics and inter-personal skills, she is also a product of the distinguished Sharjah Leadership Program and University of Sharjah graduate in Environmental Health.
Maitha Abdalla Boharoon is the Environmental Studies Manager within the Consultancy, Research and Innovation (CRI) department at BEEAH Group. A dedicated professional and valued member of the BEEAH team, Maitha utilises her experience and strong academic background across occupational health and safety, risk and environmental impact assessment, and integrated solid waste management on a daily basis to carry out her roles and responsibilities. Now in her seventh year with the organisation, Maitha is also an expert in regulatory practices and interpreting findings.
Mariam Jasim Al Ali is an Environmental Studies Manager within BEEAH Environment Services, an environmental management and services company under the BEEAH Group. She has been instrumental in preparing various environmental studies such as Environmental Impact Assessments, Environmental Risk Assessments and Environmental Impact Statements. She has also been involved in the preparation of Environmental Management Plans, Waste Management Plans and Contingency Plans.
Kainat Abbasi is a Senior Technical Environmental Consultant within BEEAH Group’s Environmental Consultancy Services. With a high level of attention to detail and proven track record for analyzing problems and finding the most suitable solutions, Kainat’s inputs and contributions have been invaluable throughout her time at BEEAH. She has provided principal leadership, technical expertise, and project management for environmental impact and risk assessments, environmental and waste plans, and environmental compliance auditing, leading the implementation of environmental policies and practices for several clients. Kainat holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from the American University of Sharjah.
Ahmad Ali Ahmad Abu Yaqein is an Air Quality Section Supervisor within BEEAH’s Sharjah Environment Company, a role he has held since 2019. Ahmad originally joined the organization in 2013 and prior to his current position, he enjoyed successful tenures as Quality Control Officer in the Quality Control department and Senior Operations Supervisor at Tandeef, BEEAH’s public cleansing and waste collection division. An investigation, reporting, and evidence analysis specialist, Ahmad began his professional career in 1998 following graduation from Jerash Private University, Jordan, with a bachelor’s degree in law.
Mariam Salim Al Shuweihi is a Technical Environmental Consultant at BEEAH Environment Services, an environmental management and services company under the BEEAH Group. Previously, she worked as a research assistant in public health and nutrition at Zayed University, as well as a laboratory assistant for Dubai Central Laboratory, and the Dubai Municipality Environment Department. Mariam holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science and Sustainability from Zayed University.
Vivek Kumar is a Technical Environmental Consultant within the Consultancy, Research and Innovation (CRI) unit at BEEAH Group. Passionate, driven, and committed to bringing about a positive change in the environment, Vivek has developed his skills over four years of experience in the industry. Since joining BEEAH, he has demonstrated his skills in environmental consulting, project coordination and management, environmental impact and risk assessment studies, and waste management, handling clients and various other environment assessment studies. Vivek holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering.
Solomon Abraham is an Environmental Consultant at the Sharjah Environment Company, part of BEEAH Group. Since 2018, Solomon has undertaken several key responsibilities, including preparing environmental reports in accordance with recommendations in various Emirates and Free Zones, reviewing reports before submission to the relevant authorities, and conducting environmental health and safety (EHS) audits in Hamriyah Free Zone. A specialist in sustainability, impact assessments, and environmental management systems, Solomon’s environmental consulting experience spans almost a decade and he also utilises his applied research and problem-solving capabilities to identify problems and lead investigations.
Haya Mohamed Alkous Al-Ali is a Technical Environmental Consultant at BEEAH Environment Services, an environmental management and services company under the BEEAH Group. She conducts environmental studies and provides analyses and insights on environmental impact concerns, in addition to measuring health and safety regulations compliances for industrial, development and construction projects in the UAE.
Chriselle Agustin is an Executive Assistant at BEEAH Environment Services, an environmental management and services company under the BEEAH Group. Within her current role, Chriselle’s main responsibilities include supporting the Head of Function, Senior Management, and the overall team by handling comprehensive administration duties, as well as providing sales record financial reports for revenue and payment tracking purposes. Chriselle first joined the BEEAH Group in 2009 as an Accounts Payable Administrator and has held the position of Executive Assistant since 2019.
Sultan Al Shehhi provides his Environmental Testing expertise and experience to the Sharjah Environment Company, the management consulting company part of BEEAH Group. In his capacity as Field Assistant, Sultan supports operations with inputs across several areas of operations, including environmental monitoring, noise monitoring, data extraction, job scheduling and execution, and verifying air quality, dust, and illuminance. Sultan has been in his current position since 2019 and has participated in environmental monitoring efforts across more than 80 Sharjah- based projects to date.
Maysoun Alowais is Researcher within the Consultancy, Research and Innovation (CRI) unit at BEEAH Group. As an environmentalist who strives to raise awareness about conservation and habitat protection, Maysoun channels this passion to carry out his roles and responsibilities as part of the BEEAH team. In his current capacity, he conducts research regarding the latest initiatives in the sustainability field, serves in a consultancy role in special projects with industry clients, prepares proposals for tendering purposes, and collects market data while comprising lists of upcoming business opportunities.
Hala Zurba is an energetic and ambitious professional who has brought her passion and skills to the Sharjah Environment Company, the management consulting company part of BEEAH Group. Since March 2020, Hala has flourished in her position as Lab Engineer within the Consultancy, Research, and Innovation (CRI) department, preparing ambient air quality, workplace air quality, and noise lab reports, as well as liaising with clients and arranging site visits for the Lab team. Prior to her current position, Hala gained invaluable experience through a CRI internship and temporary contract, respectively.
Shabana Abdula is an Environmental Consultant at the Sharjah Environment Company, part of BEEAH Group. Since July 2019, Shabana has been a consultant within the Consultancy, Research, and Innovation (CRI) department, planning and reporting environmental impacts, mitigation measures, and management plans. Moreover, Shabana plays a proactive role in assessing risks and emergency preparedness of projects during their respective construction, operational, and decommissioning phases. Shabana is a Bachelor of Technology in civil engineering and also acquired a master’s degree in environmental geotechnology before embarking on her professional career.
Muhammad Junaid provides his Environmental Testing expertise and experience to the Sharjah Environment Company, the management consulting company part of BEEAH Group. In his capacity as Field Assistant, Muhammad is responsible for several specific tasks, including environmental monitoring, noise monitoring, data extraction, job scheduling and execution, and verifying air quality, dust, and illuminance. Muhammad has been in his current position since 2019 and also boasts notable experience as an Associate Engineer.
Abeer Maarouf is an Intern within the Consultancy, Research and Innovation department at BEEAH Group. Since assuming this role in July 2019, Abeer has showcased her professional potential and demonstrated essential skills and competencies, making key contributions whilst undertaking her roles and responsibilities. These have included supporting site inspections to meet environmental objectives and mitigate potential workplace health threats, analyzing and reporting potential environmental issues, and conducting reporting, environmental studies, and research analysis for over 70 projects.
Syra Habeeb is a Technical Environmental Consultant within the Consultancy, Research, and Innovation (CRI) department at BEEAH. Since May 2019, Syra’s inputs and contributions have seen her become an established member of the BEEAH team. Her responsibilities include coordinating and conducting site inspections and project field assessments to analyze baseline conditions and potential risks, investigating project activities, and providing mitigation measures. Additionally, Syra conducts environmental impact assessments (EIAs), environmental risk assessments (ERAs), and air quality monitoring for establishments in Sharjah, Al Sajaa, Hamriyah Free Zone, and Fujairah Industrial Area.
Abdul Rehman Mohammad Afzal is a skilled and competent chemical engineering graduate who recently took up a Consultant Intern role at BEEAH in October 2021. Based at BEEAH’s Sharjah branch within the Consultancy, Research, and Innovation (CRI) department, Abdul has supported daily CRI processes and practices, contributing to environmental health and safety (EHS) audits, environmental risk assessments, and site inspections within Al Hamriyah Free Zone. Prior to this current position, Abdul also enjoyed a successful six-week CRI Safety Engineer internship.
Lama Zahreddine is a Technical Environmental Consultant within the Consultancy, Research and Innovation (CRI) department at BEEAH Group. Backed by her outstanding strategic planning, human resource management, and relationship-building skills, Lama has overseen a comprehensive suite of activities related to reducing environmental impacts during her career with the organization to date. A specialist in analytical thinking, problem solving, and environmental monitoring and reporting, Lama has also been instrumental to the success of several areas of BEEAH Group’s operations, assuming responsibility for coordinating the environmental laboratory quality management system and completing required forms and documents for internal environmental sustainability reporting.
